There are two shuttle companies that drive to Myoko Kogen, Myoko Shuttle Service and Nagano Snow Shuttle that operate winter transfers to get you from the major airports to the Mt Hut Lodge or Sugi Chalet Even though travelling via bus from the airport to Myoko will take a little longer, on average around 5 hours. One obvious advantage is to avoid navigating your way on the rail system with large ski and snowboard bags.
You will not be able to book either shuttle last-minute and both companies book out well in advance. So if you keen to use either shuttle service to Myoko Kogen make sure you book ahead.
Myoko Shuttle covers all the major airports including, Narita, Haneda, Niigata, and Toyama. This is a direct shuttle from the airport to Myoko so no need to transfer in Nagano. This service also extends to other areas like Madarao, Tangram and Nozawa in case you were planning on riding a few different resorts during your holiday.
The Nagano Snow shuttle operates between Narita and Haneda airports to Myoko and have operated for several years and offers up to 4 buses daily which can be super handy depending on what time you land into Tokyo.
