Eating

and Drinking

Who doesn’t love Japanese food? Myoko has so many fantastic local bars and restaurants where you can really enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine.

There are about five restaurants and bars in Ikenotaira all within a 10-20 minute walk of the lodge. Two restaurants nearby offer nomihōdai meaning, all you can eat and drink. One of our favourite restaurants or izakaya meaning casual Japanese bar/restaurant is Arakin. This fantastic little local spot offers delicious Japanese food at very affordable prices and the ramen is not to be missed!

The Myoko Kogen brewery is a stone’s throw behind the lodge and has a huge buffet in the evenings with great beer on tap. Lime Resort also has delicious Japanese food served buffet style and is home to the Myoko Coffee Co for those needing a delicious, western-style caffeinated treat.

Akakura village is a 10-minute drive and has multiple eating and nightlife options with at least 25 restaurants and bars. There is a range of Japanese and western-style restaurants and plenty of watering holes for those looking for a fun night out. It is highly recommended to make a booking for dinner, especially if you have a large group as most of the restaurants are quite small and have limited capacity.

Or if you just want to stay in and cook up a feed, we have a fully equipped kitchen at the Hut for you to prepare your own fare.
