There is nothing better than soaking your body in the rich minerals of a traditional Japanese onsen after a big day on the slopes. And luckily for you, there are a few nearby to choose from. In Ikenotaira village only a 20-minute walk from the Hut, you will find the very local and popular Landmark Onsen Café open from 9am -10pm costing Y850. But our favourite nearby onsen option would have to be Lime Resort only a 15-minute walk down the hill and you can be in onsen heaven. Open from 3-6pm to guest not staying at the hotel and will cost Y1,000 with options for towel rental.
If getting naked with strangers in a Japanese onsen is not your thing then what about a yoga class to give those aching muscles a good old stretch? Check out class times with Kate Megee or Nano Yoga to see when and where the next class is on.
Or for some serious indulgence then treat yourself to a remedial or relaxation massage at Myoko Massage in Akakura village or for ultimate relaxation why not do all three?
