There is nothing better than soaking your body in the rich minerals of a traditional Japanese onsen after a big day on the slopes. And luckily for you, there are a few nearby to choose from. In Ikenotaira village only a 20-minute walk from the Hut, you will find the very local and popular Landmark Onsen Café (Alpen Blick) open from 9am -10pm costing Y850. But our favourite nearby onsen option would have to be Lime Resort Myoko only a 15-minute walk down the hill and you can be in onsen heaven. Open from 3-6pm to guest not staying at the hotel and will cost Y1,000 with options for towel rental.
If getting naked with strangers in a Japanese onsen is not your thing then what about a yoga class to give those aching muscles a good old stretch? Check out class times Nano Yoga to see when and where the next class is on.
Or for some serious indulgence then treat yourself to a remedial or relaxation massage at Myoko Massage in Akakura village or for ultimate relaxation why not do all three?
